Help Raise Money For A Meningitis! - DigiStamps for a Cure...

My friend Jak Heath at Crafter's Kitchen has had some sad news. Her Great Nephew, Layton succombed to complications of meningitis and she is doing a fundraiser on her blog for the cure.  Our friend Katie atMy Paper Haven gave an example of her cards she did and a really nice post.

Update on My Dad:  It's been NINE weeks. I can't believe it! Anyway... he is doing so much better.  He is walking with the help of a walker. He is still not as aware as I'd love for him to be. But thanks to a lady at Church, I'm getting to understand he is as good as he can be. And GOD IS GOOD! So thanks for all of your praying and hard work spiritually since the stroke.

Chichiboulie Blog Hop & Happy Halloween!

Now, for my ChiChi. I used Wendy Papillon. You can find HERE , with the other Chichi fairies.  Aren't they so very cute. I was going to Halloween One of them... but how can you make a sweet and beautiful fairy scary? I couldn't...

Remember the Pixie Pouch?  (You can find some Here.)  There are a few birthday's coming up in my family and I am going to make a few to hold money.  Teenagers LOVE money!

Details:

Wendy is colored with Copics. So many different colors, it would take me forever to list. But the Greens are the YG's and the Orange is YR02/04, Violets are V95/91, Blue is B41.

Paper is PTI's Vintage Cream. DP is from a pack I picked up at Hobby Lobby.

Ribbon is from Hobby Lobby as well!

What I did - I cut a 7x7 paper. Scored it at 3.5 and folded it in half. Cut down the center by 1.5 inches, and fold down the front flap. I used the SU Paperdistressing Tool to go around the edges of everything. The original calls for redline tape, but I can't find mine (gasp) sooooooo I used Loctite Gel Glue.  Then I cut the DP 8x5.5 and put it all the way around the pouch. Then I matted the image on PTI's Lemon Tart and Lavendar Moon.  I tossed some glitter on her (Martha Stewart from Hobby Lobby) and that is all!

Updates and Apologies...

GOOD GRIEF! I have had such a hard month or so with my dad's stroke. He's so much better now. We were worried just a week or so that he wouldn't live, but with new meds on board and more PT and God's grace, he is so much better just a week ago later. Thank you for all your prayers.

Anyway... I apologize for so neglecting this blog. I will update soon and spend some time putting my old blog posts up here so there is at least something to look at.

I had a great bday. I'm 46 now. YAY It's not so bad. For those of you who I know who I may not realize you can't read my family blog that I've split out and is now private. I just want to be able to vent and talk about private things with those I trust reading and no one else. SO if you want to red it, please let me know via email.

I apologize that I have not been commenting so much on your blogs either. Dangit... I just realized today is October 20th. I missed the PTI and several other releases... AACK
